Flatlined (Poetry freestyle)

There’s beauty to something when it’s small
because people are focused on quality.
They care how it looks to others.
They care how it is perceived
and really appreciate
support and feedback.

Once something becomes bigger
(even larger than life),
it soon becomes all about quantity.
Quality starts getting shoved
by the waste side
and complaints are seen, read
and then pushed aside.

When things got changed
more than the “F”got out.
The F meaning “fans”
who truly care what the product is about.
We’re not saying everything
from the past was a success,
but something has got to be better
than this non creative mess!

Instead, another F got ushered in:
the “F” being “fickle”.
People willing to swallow
whatever gimmick’s being thrown at them,
not realizing that a lot of it
is no longer original–
just recycled
and repackaged:
a poor imitation designed
to cross generations.

As each day goes by
the true fans realize
more has gotten buried
than the Undertaker’s streak.
