(un) Just (Poetry Freestyle)

Artwork featured on:
They have seen the white flakes
Widely coating her dermis.
Instead of them offering remedy,
She is showered with laughter.
They have noticed the big toes
Poking from the torn leather shoes.
Instead of them offering replacements,
She is given disappointed glares.
They have observed the hair:
Uneven and heavily tangled.
Instead of them offering comb and brush,
She is rewarded with points and jeers.
As they all go on in separate directions
She follows after them and yells,
“How can you treat me with such ridicule?
It wasn’t that long ago
When I was just like you!”
