X (Poetry Freestyle)

Some say that bridges shouldn’t be burned.
I think they have a lot to learn.
Certain people aren’t worth second chances.
This philosophy doesn’t just apply to romances
But also to the bonds built by blood.
How many times must one be flooded
With discontent and disappointment
Before realizing when it comes to redemption
That certain people aren’t worth anointment?
They always ask me for my opinion:
Chuckle and cite they get what I’m saying,
Yet return to the vicious cycles they want to escape from
Like I wasn’t clear in what I was relaying.
It’s not that I don’t want to help
But I just don’t like words to go unheeded,
So I will now keep silent; reach out again

When the burning of bridges has succeeded.
