5 Reasons Why You Should Support Lykebudda (#SupportAPoet)

Greetings everyone! Queen is here, just peeking out to talk about a fellow poet, Angela “Lykebudda” White. Here are 5 Reasons Why You Should Support Angela “Lykebudda” White, author of “As the Budda Flows” and “Lykebudda: Windows to My Soul (As the Budda Flows II)”.

5. April is National Poetry Month

If you love reading contemporary poetry, this is a great place to start. If you are one who reads poetry every once in a while, or wants a work where you don’t have to have a dictionary to translate, this is a great place to start.

4. Soul Speak for Every Woman

The way Angela delivers each and every poem makes me feel like I’m right there—like we are two women getting together, reminiscing over love and life.

3. Real Talk on Relationships

Angela does not sugarcoat or make things to be what they are not. She is very honest in who she is, what she’s been through and how that impacts her outlook. There is boldness in her sharing and an appreciation for her cadence. She makes you feel as if she really understands.

2. The Evolution Can Be Seen

I’ve followed this terrific poet since the publication of her first poetry book. She is a writer that is willing to master her craft and grow in the presentation and delivery of each simile, metaphor, personification, and stanza.

1. Universal Outreach

Some people tend to shy away from poetry because they fear they may not understand it. The way Angela writes does not isolate at all. Every person out there has gone through the process of finding love, being disillusioned, finding one’s self, and starting again. Therefore, each poem this author puts on paper is like a popular newspaper in your neighborhood, accessible to everyone from the guy around the corner to the lady making her morning commute to work.
